There are a few things you should know about me.
#1 - I love change. If I could rearrange my furniture every week, I probably would.#2 - I love projects. I love writing things down on a list that I want to get done. And then crossing them off when they are finished.
#3 - When I have a project(s) in mind I go full force. I'm the queen of starting projects even though my house is a disaster. You'd think I would clean up and then start. Nope. If you are gonna make a mess, you might as well make a BIG one.
#4 - I pick horrible times to start a project, but I can't settle my mind until it's done.
All this is to set you up for the little projects I've been doing around the house. I couldn't rearrange my furniture anymore, so I had to put some things up on my walls. Greg has been gone A LOT...so you'd think I'd wait until he was home to start. Nope. Full speed ahead. One day I decided I was going to do it. The next hour we were out the door to the mall to purchase what I had in mind. That night I was up until after midnight hammering away. It's a sickness, really! So here is what I have been doing. Please do not be expecting any HGTV, amazing home make overs...because you will be greatly disappointed:)
Okay, my first project was the laundry room. I've been wanting a spot for coats and shoes for about 3 years, but was waiting on cabinets to go above the washer and dryer...I got impatient...so did my idea anyway. The first picture is head on (I love the letter hooks! Super excited when I found them). Don't you love it when your colors all work together. The second picture is what it looks like coming in from the garage back door. Muddy shoes...meet your maker!

"All because two people fell in love..." I love that quote and got this plaque for Christmas from my mom. I put this in my "dinning room"...let's get real...next to the table that is in the middle of the room:)

My kitchen needed a little pick me up, so I added this plaque for a little pzazz...and for a daily reminder of how Good the God I serve is!

I didn't change too much here at my bakers rack, but enough to make me happy with the change. Added a sign to remind me to trust in the Lord with all my heart, made a candle stand into a plant stand, moved some plants around and added a scarf for fancy.

...and this project didn't have to do with decorating, but organizing...which is also a passion of mine. After Christmas I needed to re-organize the hallway closet to make room for the new gifts. Top shelf is cleaning supplies. Second is the kids learning books, crafts and play-doh. Third is a bin of puzzles (gotta keep the things with thousands of pieces contained). Also is their playing cards, leap frog letter computer and trucks. Fourth shelf is all their games and the sacrid letter puzzle. Last is mama's row of goodies. Also, all our kid movies are to the left. I know, it's a ridiculous amount. I also added a lock on the outside so I can be in charge of when they enter the closet of fun. We'll see how long that last seeing that Jett can open it and if Brayden gets annoyed enough he can rip it off.
So what are some fun projects you've been doing around your house?
