I am dedicating this post to my sweet, chubby, on the move, little boy! Brayden is 13 months now, pushing 26 lbs and so much fun. He is constantly walking everywhere! All day long, just walks around the house holding toys, throwing toys, and chasing Jett. He is starting to learn to run, it's so funny. It's like a freight train that can't stop. Half the time he either runs into something because he can't stop or he crashes:) He has gotten quite the attitude and will be sure to tell you if he is not happy with something. He loves to push buttons...and has found how to push mine:) He also is very happy and out of the blue he will just start laughing. He loves his big brother and thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread...oh wait, how would he know that if he doesn't eat it? Speaking of...
We have had a HUGE breakthrough with Brayden and eating. Before he would eat nothing if it had any texture. Now he is slowly learning to like different foods and is eating them more often. I still have to puree most of his food, but after the "main course" he usually will eat some table foods. We have learned he likes crackers, pickles, bananas, noodles, cooked carrots, jello, chips, etc...of course he is very picky on different days. Most of the time I still have to feed it to him, but we are working on him feeding himself. Oh, but he has learned to drink from a cup by himself. Huge, people! Huge! First Steps is sending out a therapist now, so we are looking forward to much improvement!
Sweeping...I mean sleeping is going much, much better. The month of March was amazing and and it was so nice to have a glimpse of a normal sleeper and to have sweet glorious sleep. The last week hasn't been very good, but his "asthma" has been acting up because he has been sick, so it's hard for him to sleep when he can't breathe well. BUT, the last two nights have been great and we have learned to focus on those and to be oh so thankful! Now it is time for a funny story...
Last week I heard the boys playing in Brayden's room and just let them play for awhile before checking on them. (Mistake #1) A few minutes later I walked in to find the picture on your left. Jett had put vicks-vapor rub all over Bray's hair. At first I laughed, mostly because of what Jett said when I walked into the room, "Look, Mommy, I put lotion in Bray-Bra
y's hair. Aren't I so nice?" Well, I was laughing all the way to the bath tub, until I realized it wasn't coming out. Yep, pretty much I poured a cup of water over his head and NOT ONE hair moved. I quickly called my mom for advice and meanwhile I was like, "hmmm, I once heard that mayo is good the hair, let's try that." (Mistake #2) Pretty much the mayo stuck to the vicks. Finally after 10 different washes with different soap it was about 10% better and I had two fussy boys. Bray was mad at the end and both were very hungry because I had realized that they had
been in the tub for almost an hour. So if any of you have this problem, call me, I have lots and lots of suggestions. Oh, and it will take short of a week for all of it to come out. So this is Brayden's exciting life in a nutshell...and a wonderful life it is!

Bray looks so cute!! I wonder how the "vapor" stuff felt on his head?! That would be a strange feeling for him!! Glad you got it cleared up!! I know ice works for gum in the hair, but that's the extent of my knowledge!!! :) Every time I see a pic of him now I think of him wanting me to pick him up and leave with us when he barely knew me...melts my heart!!
We've been waiting for the vicks blog!!!! So cute! Hopefully we'll see you soon.
