Coming home came a bit easier this round. A newborn isn't as scary and we at least have an idea of what we are doing. Jarrett was very excited and hyper when we got home, and he was very interested in getting to know his new little brother. He kept asking to hold Brayden and wanted to hug and kiss him all the time. The last two weeks have definitely had their ups and downs. At first Brayden had his nights and days switched, but after a strict schedule we are doing much better. He is a very good baby, very content, eating well and likes to sleep...thank you Lord! It's our first born that is causing us problems. First he is backsliding with bedtime. It is taking us over an hour to get him to go to bed. He is getting two of his molers, so twice this week he was up all night crying. It's always depressing when I'm finally able to go to sleep for the "night" that I hear the neighbor leaving for work in the morning. So between the two boys, I'm not getting much sleep. Which, if mama isn't happy, nobody is happy:) I thought it would be harder to adjust to the first baby, but I was wrong. This adjustment is kicking my b
utt. Greg has been so busy with work, so if it wasn't for my mom, I'm pretty sure I would have had a huge breakdown by now. They say to sleep when your baby sleeps...well, that's not really an option with a 22 month old running around the house. I am starting to feel much better and able to move around with more ease, which has been such a blessing. Plus, it's nice to see my feet again:) Here's a family picture of us after one of our nights of no sleep. Not the best picture, but hey, it's life...let's be real:)
