Wow, we can't believe we've been married for 3 amazing and wonderful years. Here is a glimpse into the lives of these two love birds...
WHY I LOVE GREG:
Greg is first and foremost, my best friend. I can tell him anything - my hopes, my fears, my frustrations, my joys, well, you get the idea. I love the fact that Greg doesn't know a stranger. He is very outgoing, great at making conversation and is truly interested in getting to know others. I love Greg for his caring heart and compassion for others. I love Greg's desire for worship and the joy it brings him to serve the Lord through music. I love how Greg makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world (even when my hair is in a ponytail, no makeup, pajamas and baby spit up all over me)...I'm still his Queen. I love when I get a bit uptight about things, his easy going nature comes out and reminds me to enjoy life and that it doesn't need to be full of drama:) I love when I'm in a bad mood he puts on a funny song and does the most hilarious dance I have ever seen. Half the time I'm afraid he'll throw his back out or pull a muscle - it makes me laugh every time! Last, but not least, I love how Greg is such a great Dad. I knew when I first met him he would be great with kids, but he has totally gone far and above my expectations. He is a wonderful man that loves and sacrifices for his family!
WHY I LOVE NATALIE:
Natalie is, obviously, very dear to my heart. She has been a great companion from the beginning of our marriage. She had to deal with a lot the first month we were married because of my mother's death, but she was a trooper and supported me the whole way through the mourning process. She makes me laugh a lot and I like her anal ways of putting stuff in our house "in their place." Everything and I mean everthing in our house has a spot and if it isn't in that spot, well, then the universe will never be the same. She's been very supportive in my career and is always encouraging me to do the best I can at what I do. If I'm having a rough time at work and feel so disouraged that I should hang up flying and go back to painting walls then she encourages me to keep at it. I love watching movies with her because I know it entertains her so much. She has cried with me and literaly picked me up off of the ground after the news of the death of a close friend. The wife of a pilot can be very demanding with a schedule that is always changing and how she has become very flexible with me even at times when she doesn't feel like it. Natalie is an excellent mother and I love seeing the bond she has between mother and child. She has had lots of sleepless nights when Jarrett has been up through the night and I had to get up early to fly. Natalie has become a very good cook! I was scared when we were first married because she was so excited about making me potato soup that she loves. The soup looked a little weird when she realized she put three cups of flour instead of three tablespoons! She was so upset and said how she can't be a good wife if she can't cook. I, being the new brave husband, tried the soup to show her that it wasn't so bad, but I couldn't hide what my taste buds were telling my brain even after the fact that I couldn't swallow the wall-spackle-like putty that I had just put in my mouth that she called potato soup. We still get a good laugh out of that story to this day and I hope when we have our 50th anniversary we can bring up that story and many more. Natalie is also very good with the kids at church. She has a desire in her heart to have a great Kid's Connection program at our church that she leads. I'm glad that Natalie is my wife and it truly keeps getting better and better!
