Brayden Smiles!

Yesterday was such a fun and exciting day. Brayden started smiling as a reaction to others. This picture brings tears to my eyes (I'm such a mom). First, because he is just such a handsome baby and my love for him is just overflowing. And second, because he's finally doing more than just laying around. He's finally interacting with us. Just a little bit about how it is going with Brayden. He still has his nights and days switched. I thought I had it fixed, but I don't. Usually from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. he is awake and ready to party. The first month he was fussy during this time, so at least that is better. So since he has been born I haven't been to bed before midnight. I've gotten a lot of advice and we are working hard on getting his schedule switched...we could use some prayer...and Dear Lord, we could use some sleep. Another prayer concern we have for him is his hearing. At the hospital he failed his left hearing test. So we've had two appointments since then to see what is going on. He still is failing the tests, but we are hoping it's because they can't get a good reading. So in the next couple of weeks I think that we are taking him to South Bend to this specialist that can determine exactly what percentage he can hear. I've been a little emotional about it, mostly because the ear doctor has already brought up the subject of hearing aids. So we are praying that it's no big deal and because they can't get a good seal on his ear, that it is the reason he is not passing. Other than that, Brayden is doing very well. Greg and I can't get over how nice it is to have such a content baby. He really only crys when he is hungry or tired. Our first child (not naming names:), liked to cry quite often!
