As I sit here in the silence after a long day, I ponder on what life was like before Jarrett. Ah, the quiet evenings with my husband, the nights out with my friends, the chance to read a good book whenever I wanted, the time to slow down and take a nap, and the glorious feeling of sleeping in on Saturday mornings. Yes, that was a wonderful time, but nothing compares to seeing Jarrett smile when I walk into the room, to hear him laugh, to hold him in my arms and tell him how much he is loved, watching him play with his toys and discover new things, seeing him do something for the first time, and my favorite is watching Greg be the best dad ever! I am truly blessed!
Side Note: For those of you that never got to see me pregnant here are some pictures from that wonderful time in my life. The top left was on my Birthday three weeks before Jarrett was born. The top right was at our first baby shower, with Greg's family and friends, a month before Jarrett was born. The one to the right was around Easter a little over a month before Jett was born (doesn't it look like a torpedo)? Overall I had a great pregnancy. I was sick the first trimester and throughout had some back pain. I gained a total of 33 pounds...I got a little excited about bread the last few months:) Being pregnant is the most amazing feeling. To feel him kick the first time and to hear his heartbeat. I am in awe of our creator.

I LOVE that picture of you in the blue dress! Cracks me up because I'm pretty sure Jett was laying straight out. We should have known he would be a long baby!!!
GOsh, before Jett when you guys came over we paid more attention to you. We'll try to be better at that. =)
