Just that kind of day

Have you ever had a day where you can't wait to go to bed and make it end in fear of what else could possibly go wrong...welcome to my day! It started off normal, waking up at 6:30 (which is Brayden's internal alarm clock), had some playtime and then got the boys ready to go. Which was my normal day of Brayden screaming and thrashing around because of his intense hatred of being changed. Then he usually crys for ten minutes afterwards to insure that I know he is upset. Then we headed to the park because it was a beautiful day. All was going well until Jett wanted to try the really big curly slide, which of course was near the water that had flooded that part of playground. Brayden took off and I had to run after him into this huge mud puddle, in my brand new shoes. So we left. Then I was having this horrible pain at the top of my uterus all morning so I called my doctor. I am now on "light bedrest" until my appointment on Friday. Awesome. We get home and Brayden is asleep so I take him in and put him to bed. When I get back to the van Jett got out of his seat and was playing in the driver side. I got him out and then shut the door, only to notice then that he had locked the doors...with my keys inside. Greg of course is gone until the middle of the night. What? There is more you ask. Oh yes! Don't let these darling faces fool you. The afternoon is going okay, so I let the boys go outside and play. I hear something in the garage, so I check and see that they took out half of Sam's dog food and threw it around the garage. I locked them out. A little bit later I hear splashing and I am afraid to look...note I am not outside with them, but I am by the door and check on them every few mintues...they are quick little suckers. They have turned on the water and now have an enormous mud puddle by the house and are starting to play in it. I run and turn it off and then run inside to start a bath. By the time I come back they are running and jumping in the puddle and smearing the mud against the house. Jett then slips and falls and lands in the puddle so he is now black from head to toe.

Yep! Still going! The rest of the evening goes okay. I was supposed to have Bible Study tonight with my girls, but of course the one night I needed to pick my sitters up was tonight...my vechile is of course incapacitated...so I had to cancel. Before bed they wanted to read books in my room, so I let them while I quick put away their snacks. I walk in to find that Brayden found my water jug by the bed and poured the whole thing on the bed (luckily just on my side).

So for now they are in their beds and so far quiet. But I am not holding my breath:)...oh, just kidding the door just opened!
