It's all fun and games until someone has to get stitches...

Life has been a bit overwhelming for me lately and I am getting exhausted physically, emotionally, mentally...well, you get the picture. It just feels like I have this load of bricks on my shoulders and I am constantly getting more piled on me without rest or able to take anything off. I am very stressed and frustrated. Sorry about that throw-up of words, I just needed to get that out! Greg left for recurrent school on Wednesday, so the boys and I needed to get out of the house today. We went to the mall with Denise and the boys and then had lunch together. Very fun! Afterwards I went to Darcy's house to hang out until it was time for to leave for a campfire. I had all the babies around me begging with grunts for popcorn, when Brayden lost his balance and smacked his face on the table, spliting open a part of his cheek. So after talking it over with the girls, I packed him up and we headed into the ER. On the way, my phone died, so I had no way to communicate with people for awhile, that was so hard because all I wanted to do was call Greg! Talk about stress at the hospital, what the heck is a 14 month old supposed to do in a hospital room except get in trouble and try to escape. Finally after about an hour of him crying, someone came in to numb his face. It took three of us to hold him down to get it on. Poor kid was tired, hungry and strange people where pushing on his ouchie! I'd be uphappy too! Then they brought me a bottle of apple juice to calm him down and he fell asleep. This was actually the best part of my day. He layed sleeping in my arms for about an hour while I layed on the bed and watched t.v...it's good to find the positive in negative situations:) When he woke up and I was trying to comfort him when he brushed his face against my lips...and then my lips went numb. I totally freaked out because when I had to help put it on I had to wear gloves because they were afraid it would get on my hands...AND then I get it on my lips...are you kidding me! The doctor did a great job with the stitches and finally after three very long hours we were able to leave. We came home and had an 8:30 p.m. supper and he went to bed great...and now I think I am going to go join him! Thanks to my family that helped and supported me today, I couldn't have done it without you! I love you!
