Seriously?...

Old news, but I really wanted to blog about it. Back during football season we would have Darcy over for the evening on Thursdays while Darin was at practice and then afterwards he could join us for the rest of the night. Well, during playoffs, Darin, dropped, Darcy and Adie, off like usually, but with a little surprise for us. He was wearing his high school letter jacket. I saw him get out of the car proudly showing off his blue and gold and I thought, "Seriously?" It took everything in me not to laugh and all I wanted to do was say, "Seriously? Darin, I hate to tell you this but there is totally a code of coolness about not wearing your letter jacket the second after you graduate from high school...which was 10 years ago." But, I kept my mouth shut and pretended not to see it:) They walk into the house and he turns and looks at me and says, "You really don't notice the jacket? I thought for sure you would laugh." And then I reply, "Did you NOT see my face!" It was hilarious and brought much laughter in the Replogle home. Of course, Greg knew right where his old flight jacket was so he wanted to join the club:)f.y.i...Darin wore the jacket because the coaches were wearing them to practice for fun. They weren't serious! I should have know right away that Darcy would never have let him wear it for real!
