Cake? No thank you.

We had so much fun at Jett's Birthday party, too bad he had no idea what was going on. Jett's Birthday was on Saturday, May 6th. We spent the morning preparing for the party, but spent the afternoon with Greg's sisters and husbands, it was a wonderful day. Jett took a super nap and then we headed into Grandpa Replogles to have the party (our house is a bit to small to entertain a large group of people.

Afterwards Jett opened his gifts. He got some great toys, clothes and a table and chairs. It was so wonderful to have everyone come and celebrate Jett's first year with us. Then it was time for Jett to have his cake. He was stripped down to his diaper with the cake in front.

He took a little taste test...and didn't like it! Then we tried to feed him and he started crying (his whinny, humming cry). We tried for awhile to get him to eat and then we began to feed him with a fork.He liked the fork, but not the idea of eating what was on the fork. So he would take the cake and put it all over his stomach, arms and face.Right as we were getting ready to take him away from the table he discovered that the cake wasn't so bad and started eating it...fast:) What a mess. Good thing Birthdays only come once a year. We can't believe that Jett has been in our lives for a year already. He is such a good boy, so happy with a great personality already, and not to mention pretty cute. We are so blessed!
